City Could Pay $1M For Former Manor Restaurant

ST. CHARLES, IL — The St. Charles City Council is expected to vote Monday on whether to buy the site of the former Manor Restaurant for $1 million, the Kane County Chronicle reports. The purchase would be part of the city's effort to expand the 1st Street East Plaza northward to Main Street.
City officials said the 1st Street Plaza project is being funded in part by Exelon, which has put $600,000 toward the project, according to the article.
