City Council Votes To Continue Video Gambling In St. Charles

The ordinance would have been repealed if the city council did not approve it before April 30.

ST. CHARLES, IL – Video gambling will continue to be offered at businesses in St. Charles. The city council on Monday voted in favor of reauthorizing the ordinance in a 7-3 vote. The vote was needed as part of a sunset clause included in the original 2015 ordinance, which permitted video gambling and stated that the council had to reauthorize the ordinance before April 30, 2018 or video gambling would be repealed.
