Employees Share Why They Serve

From May 7-13, Governments nationwide will observe Public Service Recognition Week 2017. Celebrated every year since 1985, this week is organized to honor the men and women who serve as government employees at the federal, state, county, and local levels.

To celebrate Public Service Recognition Week, the City of St. Charles has released a video showcasing City employees, and reasons why they choose to be in public service. Watch the video on our vimeo channel https://vimeo.com/216231666. Also a blog post by Denice Brogan, Assistant Director of Human Resources, which explains that career opportunities in local government are abundant and the importance of encouraging talented young people to seek careers in public service. “Our City Government is made up of truly dedicated individuals, who each work to make this community a better place,” said St. Charles Mayor Ray Rogina. “This week, we would like to thank every one of our City employees for their outstanding commitment to public service.”
