City To Vote On First Gas Station To Sell Alcohol
The Shell on West Main Street could soon get the OK to sell wine, beer and liquor.

ST. CHARLES, IL -- The first St. Charles gas station to sell alcohol may soon get approval from the St. Charles City Council, the Daily Herald reports. In recent weeks, aldermen made it legal for gas stations that are at least 10,000-square-feet to sell alcohol. And this past week, the Shell at 307 W. Main Street has stepped up to seek the city's OK to sell liquor, wine and beer.
Aldermen are expected to make their official vote after Labor Day, according to the Daily Herald. If approved, the city could soon also allow convenience stores to sell alcohol.
