Coroner IDs Man Killed By Train In Kane County
The man was fatally hit by the train on the railroad tracks at County Line Road in Maple Park on Monday afternoon.
MAPLE PARK, IL — A 38-year-old man was killed after he was hit by a train in Maple Park earlier this week.
On Thursday, the Kane County Coroner's Office identified the man as Alexander Garivaltis of DeKalb. Authorities say the man was hit by the train on the railroad tracks at County Line Road in Maple Park on Monday afternoon.
The preliminary results from an autopsy show he died from multiple injuries.

The cause of the death remains under investigation, according to the coroner's office.
