Deadline Extended for Electric Christmas Parade Entries

Holiday Homecoming is a two-day event, featuring lighting of the lights, visits with Santa, sleigh rides and the parade.

The deadline for entry in the St. Charles Electric Christmas Parade has been extended through Wednesday, Nov. 11.

The Downtown St. Charles Partnership (DSCP), which organizes the event, has continued to receive inquiries about entries, and have decided to extend the deadline for everyone.

DSCP Executive Director Lynne Schwartz says, “We are happy that there continues to be interest in parade participation, and would like to extend the deadline so everyone receives the same information and opportunity.”

The parade steps off on Main Street at 5:30 pm on Saturday, November 28. Businesses and organizations with interest in being a part of this event are should return completed forms to the Downtown St. Charles Partnership office in the St. Charles Municipal Building no later than Wednesday, November 11.

Businesses, non-profits, and organizations that would like to enter the parade may do so by completing and returning the Parade Entry Form, Safety Guidelines, and a Certificate of Insurance. The application fee is $250 for businesses, $125 for Downtown St. Charles Partnership member businesses, and complimentary to local non-profits. Applications can be downloaded at www.downtownstcharles.org/holidays.

Holiday Homecoming is a two-day event, featuring Lighting of the Lights on November 27th. Sleigh Rides on 1st Street, visits with Santa, a holiday movie, and the Electric Christmas Parade take place on November 28th.
