District 303 Announces 2015 Distinguished Alumni

Three recipients received this year's award.

St. Charles Community Unit School District 303, in conjunction with the Distinguished Alumni Award Committee and the Greater St. Charles Education Foundation, is proud to announce the recipients of District 303’s Distinguished Alumni Award for 2015.

The award is given to nominees who graduated from District 303 and have demonstrated a high level of achievement in their field of endeavor or in their contributions to their community.

The 2015 recipients are Stephen P. Full, Julie Mann, and Capt. Edward Warford.

Stephen P. Full graduated from St. Charles High School in 1987. He is an Emmy nominated actor who lives and works in Los Angeles.

Stephen currently provides the voice for Stan, the main character in the Disney Channel’s “Dog with a Blog”. He has a long list of credits to his name including appearances on such shows as “CSI”, “CSI: New York”, “Cold Case”, “Bones”, “iCarly”, “Hannah Montana”, along with a recurring role on Disney’s “I’m in the Band”.

Stephen also has numerous live theatre credits to his name including lead roles in productions of “Bye, Bye, Birdie,” “Brigadoon”’ and “Carousel”.

Julie Mann graduated from St. Charles High School in 1985. She is currently the managing editor for WBBM Newsradio, which is the top-rated all news station in the Chicago market.

Under Julie’s leadership WBBM continues to solidify its position as the dominant, 24 hour a day source of breaking news and information in the region. Prior to her promotion to managing editor, Julie served WBBM as a suburban bureau chief, anchor and reporter.

Capt. Edward Warford, United States Navy (Retired) graduated from St. Charles High School in 1979.

He served as Chief of Naval Operations, Director of Navy Information Dominance Corps and Director of Naval Intelligence Staff at the Pentagon in Washington DC at the time of his retirement from the U.S. Navy in 2012.

Capt. Warford was responsible for establishing high-level diplomatic relationships with foreign countries and coordinating intelligence agreements with the navies of countries allied with the United States.

From 2007-2010, Capt. Warford served as Defense Intelligence Agency Chairman to the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington, DC.

The 2015 recipients will be recognized at the Greater St. Charles Education Foundation’s Night of Jazz event, which will be held on February 21, 2015, at the Royal Fox Country Club.
