"We all know that adolescence can be one of the most difficult times in life to navigate for kids. We lso know it can be very difficult for parents to assist their kids through this trying, but also exciting and wonderful portion of the journey through life," according to a District 303 news release. "Grief can be part of life at any time, but grief added into adolescence can create difficulties for both kids, and their parents who are trying to provide guidance."
For those hoping to attend next Thursday's forum, you can RSVP online here. Due to space limitations, the forum is being limited to the first 70 RSVPs.

While the planning for the forum began last fall, the timing of the session comes just a month after the deaths of St. Charles East High School juniors Tiffany and Brittany Coffland, who were shot and killed by their father on March 10, and the unrelated death of East student Cody Dietrich, who was found unresponsive in his car in St. Charles on March 16. Adalina Elizabeth Donoso, 18, of Racine, Wis., was also found unresponsive in the car with Dietrich and was later pronounced dead. The deaths of Dietrich and Donoso remain under investigation by the St. Charles Police Department.
