District 303 Hosts Fourth Annual School Maker Faire

Families are invited to attend the 4th Annual D303 School Maker Faire

April 23, 2019 - St. Charles, IL - District 303 invites families and community members to its 4th Annual School Maker Faire on Saturday April 27, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Wild Rose Elementary School.

Staff and students from across the District as well as six community organizations will host over 65 booths for attendees to explore. The activities include hands-on robotics stations, the use of virtual reality goggles, green screen demonstrations, building challenges, a cardboard city Pacman game, and experiments with electronics and circuits.

The event is free to attend but there will be “make and take activities” for which tickets will be required and sold at the door. Raffle tickets and concessions will also be available for purchase during the event.

A Maker Faire celebrates science, engineering, arts & crafts, and robotics subjects with a hands-on approach. After its second year, the D303 Maker Faire received the Illinois School Library Media Association's (now the Association of Illinois School Library Educators) Upstart Award (now named Demco Award) for best library event in Illinois.
