Downtown St. Charles Partnership to Unveil New City Side Approach

St. Charles, IL (March 3, 2015) The City of St. Charles and the Downtown St. Charles Partnership are excited to announce a new approach that will encourage individuals and families who live, visit, work, or play in St. Charles, discover the authentic urban experience unique to the city.

St. Charles is a city that has greatly evolved over the past several years, with the needs of the community rapidly changing. It is a lively urban oasis where old meets new and active outdoor places meet active indoor spaces. Some of the key city features include notable historic buildings, eateries, lively bars, and theatres. It has outdoor fairs, festivals, and parades, along with green-infused parks that include walking, running, and biking trails. The beautiful Fox River offers numerous boating and sightseeing options.

In an effort to tell a story that better communicates who St. Charles is today and what they have to offer, we have engaged market experts to conduct research on the latest urban trends. As a result, a new and exciting City Side approach for Downtown St. Charles was developed and will be unveiled at two main events:

· Press Conference on Monday, March 23, 2015, City Hall – 6:30pm followed by a formal presentation to the Government Services Committee at 7:00pm

· Logo Release Party on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, Arcada Theatre – 5:00pm
