St. Charles East doubles team of Claire Hafner and Erin Bowman beat out Buffalo Grove (6-4, 6-0) to win first place on Saturday at the Fremd Invitational in Palatine. The third doubles team of Haydyn Jones and Kelsie Roberton placed third. Sarah Church finished second in the second singles spot. Morgan Nosalik, in third singles, placed third. Kiddie Academy of St. Charles will host STEM Adventures on Friday, May 8 at 5 p.m. Families of children ages 2 and up are invited to attend this free event to participate in several hands-on, play-based activities focusing on science, technology, engineering and math.&nbsp;

Participating Academies will facilitate STEM activities like bowling, making and flying paper airplanes, participating in a bouncing ball rodeo or creating a ping pong ball launcher.
