Electric Christmas Parade Breaks Attendance Records

Also, this year's parade winners have been announced.

A record number of people attended this year’s Electric Christmas Parade in St. Charles. 

About 23,000 people crowded along Main Street to witness the parade held on Nov. 28 during St. Charles’ annual Holiday Homecoming. The attendance soared past last years’ record-breaking year of 17,500 people, according to the Downtown St. Charles Partnership press release.

The Electric Christmas Parade featured St. Charles Noon Rotary, who is celebrating 75 years of, “Service above Self”, Mayor Raymond Rogina and St. Charles Aldermen, and Miss Illinois Zena Malak. Santa Claus and his elves were also highlighted throughout the parade.

The weekend also featured visits with Santa, which continue each Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the 1st Street Plaza now through December 20.
