We have modified the Course in Mythology to one evening on Tuesday, October 2nd. Time will remain from 6.30pm to 10pm. We won't go as deep into the history and all of the gods individually. We'll cover the spreads & readings and touch on archetypes that influence your life & consciousness. The cost is $30 for the instruction and the purchase of a deck for $30 is optional. We hope this frees up some time and more people can benefit from Jacques' teachings.
The fascination with Greek and Roman mythology remains intense, and its influence on literature, art, philosophy and psychology is ongoing. This course is an introduction to working with the "Classical Mythology Deck" - which is not only a card system that clarifies mythology (and the archetypes of the unconscious), but can also be used for divinatory readings as well as being a tool for personal and spiritual growth.
In this course we will explore:
~ The Structure of the Classical Mythology Deck (CMD)
Greek Cosmogony - the story of the Creation of the Universe, and it's interpretations.
~ The different classes of gods and goddesses: 10 Protogonoi (Primal Gods); 27 Titans; 16 Olympian Gods (Principle Gods); and, 27 Minor Gods.
~ Spreads and readings using the CMD cards and combining the CMD with the Tarot cards.
~ The archetypes that influence your life and consciousness.
