What's Your Story? with Matthew Luhn of Pixar

On February 9 and 10, Christ Community Church will present What’s Your Story?, an exclusive interview with Matthew Luhn, Head of Story at Pixar Animation Studios. If you have ever wondered what happens behind-the-scenes of your favorite animated movies, this is your chance to find out as Luhn shares the stories behind some of the most iconic Pixar moments. 


Pixar Animation Studios, best known for its CGI-animated feature films, has earned 26 Academy Awards, seven Golden Globe Awards, and eleven Grammy Awards. Luhn, who began his successful career by animating for The Simpsons at the age of nineteen, first joined the Pixar team in 1992 to work on Toy Story, Pixar’s first feature film. Since that time, he has developed characters and stories for many well-known movies including Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, Cars, Ratatouille, Up, Toy Story 3, and more. During his career at Pixar, Luhn has contributed to some of their most memorable movie scenes, including Nemo’s escape from the aquarium in Finding Nemo, and the toys’ perilous journey across the road in Toy Story 2


Don’t miss this exciting event as Luhn talks about life at Pixar, explains the importance of story, and shares his personal story. What’s Your Story? will take place live at the St. Charles Campus, located at the northwest corner of Randall Road and Bolcum Road in St. Charles, on February 9 at 5pm and February 10 at 9 and 11am. The What’s Your Story? interview will also be shown via video at Christ Community’s Aurora (Blackberry Creek), Bartlett, and DeKalb Campuses.
