Families are invited to FREE Water Safety Day Event at Goldfish Swim School St. Charles

Event will offer tips on keeping kids safer in the water this summer

All are welcome at Goldfish Swim School of St. Charles' Annual Water Safety Awareness Day on Saturday, May 14, 2016. This event is held at many Goldfish locations across the country in conjunction with National Water Safety Month. During the month of May, communities work together to call attention to the steps we can all take to keep all swimmers (and especially children) safer in and around the water.

During the event, Goldfish Swim School water and swim safety experts will offer information on precautions children and families can take while they are in or near the water this summer. Water Safety Awareness Day, which is free and open to the public, will also feature activities for the whole family including open swim with certified lifeguards on duty, along with other safety-related family fun activities.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, drowning is the leading cause of accidental-injury death among children ages 1 to 4.
