Female Found Dead In Garage After Fire In Rural Kane County: Authorities
"At this time, no conclusions have been reached, and no possibilities have been ruled out," according to the Kane County Sheriff's Office.
KANE COUNTY, IL — A female was found dead in the garage of a home that was on fire in rural Kane County, according to authorities.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the residence in the 43W500 block of Otter Lane in the Lily Lake area of Kane County after receiving a report of a fire, the sheriff’s office said in a news release dated Saturday. Fire personnel located the victim in the garage, according to authorities.
The sheriff’s office investigations division is working with the Elburn Fire Department, the Illinois State Fire Marshal's Office, the Kane County Fire Investigation Task Force, and the Kane County Coroner's Office.

“It is important to emphasize that the Illinois State Fire Marshal's Office and the Kane County Fire Investigation Task Force were requested to assist with the investigation as part of a comprehensive effort to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident,” the sheriff’s office news release said.
“Their involvement should not be interpreted as an indication that a criminal act or arson has occurred. At this time, no conclusions have been reached, and no possibilities have been ruled out.”

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, according to the news release.
