Find Your Polling Place in St. Charles

ST. CHARLES, IL - It will be time to head to the polls Tuesday to make your selection for the Republican and Democratic presidential candidates. You will also be asked to choose your picks for Republican and Democratic candidates in U.S. Senate, House and some county races.

Now is the time to make sure you are registered to vote and find out where your polling place is so you are ready to hit the polls Tuesday. You can check to see if you are registered to vote and look up your polling place on the Illinois Board of Elections website.

If you are not registered, or need to update your information, you can do so at a place designated by the election authority on Election Day as part of the state'sGrace Period Registration. You should bring two forms of identification, one with your current address, according to the Cook County Clerk's Office website.

To register to vote you must:

• Be a United States citizen
• Be at least 18 years of age on or before the next election (17 year olds may register and vote in even-year primaries if 18th birthday occurs before date of general election)
• Live in your election precinct at least 30 days immediately prior to an election
• Not be convicted and in jail
• Not claim the right to vote anywhere else

Two forms of identification are required to register through a deputy registrar:

• At least one of the two forms must show your name and current address
• Only one form of identification may be a piece of mail for a contractual service addressed and delivered to you

Polls open at 6 a.m. in Illinois and close at 7 p.m.
