A flood advisory has been issued for southern Kane County through 11:30 this morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Thunderstorms moving through the area could bring 1 to 1 1/2 inches of rain in an hour, according to the NWS. Runoff from the excessive rainfall could cause minor flooding.
Motorists are reminded to not drive their vehicles into areas where water covers the roadway as the depth may be too deep to allow your car to cross safely.
