Food Truck Plaza, More Dining Added To Charlestowne Mall Plan
Krausz Companies updated the redevelopment plan to create a mixed-use urban district.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Plans continue to evolve for the redevelopment of the mostly-vacant Charlestowne Mall.
Representatives with The Krausz Companies, Inc., which is heading the project, spoke about recent changes made to address concerns brought to them by city officials, including a desire to create an environment that would give St. Charles residents new dining, entertainment and shopping experiences. A revamped plan now includes a mixed-use district, which would be between Starbucks and Classic Cinemas Charlestowne 18, according to Kane County Chronicle.
The mixed-use urban district would include a food truck plaza, ice cream stand, ampitheater and event gazebo, the Von Maur department store, dining patios and speciality shops. Under the plan updates, a hotel would be moved to the western portion of the site.
