The Wheaton North Falcons started the playoffs with a bang, defeating St Charles East 41-13.  The Falcons (9-1) scored touchdowns on their first six drives. The Saints didn't get a first down until the fourth quarter, the <a href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/highschool/football/ct-spt-1027-prep-foot-7a-st-charles-east-wheaton-n-20121023,0,3901031.story" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Chicago Tribune reported</a>. North's Patrick Sharp had 44 yards and two scores. Johnny Peltz found receiver Matt Biegalski for 14- and 30-yard strikes and Clayton Thorson for a 47-yard score, according to the Tribune. Wheaton North will play Prospect in the second round of the playoffs Friday, Nov. 2. St. Charles East's season is over.

Kiddie Academy of St. Charles will host STEM Adventures on Friday, May 8 at 5 p.m. Families of children ages 2 and up are invited to attend this free event to participate in several hands-on, play-based activities focusing on science, technology, engineering and math.&nbsp;
