Former Kane County Church Youth Group Director Trial's Set for Dec.
Chad A. Coe, 35, was accused of sexual assault of a girl under the age of 18 and possession of child pornography.

Former Kane County church youth group director who was accused in 2013 of child pornography possession and sexual assault of a teen girl has recently been scheduled to go to trial on Dec. 12, according to The Daily Herald.
Chad A. Coe, 35, who worked as a youth minister at the First Congregational Church of Dundee, was first charged in June 2013 with one count of criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Coe was accused of having sexual contact at the church with a victim who was under 18 years of age. Coe acted in a position of authority and trust with his youth group director title when the sexual contact occurred.

In Dec. of 2013, Coe was indicted by a Kane County grand jury on six counts of child pornography. According to the indictments, Coe knowingly possessed on a computer disc six files containing videos of children nude and engaged in sexually oriented acts.
According to The Daily Herald, a judge's recent ruling will prevent prosecutors from using 255 images of alleged child pornography found on a disk next to Coe's computer. Defense attorney Brittany Pedersen said the images would be "too prejudicial" and can only be introduced by the state if Coe says he acquired the images by mistake or accident when he is on trial.
