Former Prosecutor Nabbed For DUI, Leaving Crash: Police
Debra Conforti, a former Kane County assistant state's attorney, was arrested after the crash in St. Charles.
KANE COUNTY, IL — A 61-year-old former Kane County assistant state's attorney is accused of driving drunk in St. Charles and then leaving the scene of a crash.
A St. Charles police report shows Debra Conforti, of the 2500 block of Walnut Avenue in Geneva, rear-ended another vehicle at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and East Main Street at about 11:10 p.m. on Aug. 23 and then drove off, according to the Daily Herald.
Conforti was pulled over in Geneva and refused to do field sobriety tests and chemical testing, according to the newspaper. She's been charged with misdemeanor DUI and misdemeanor leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Kane County State's Attorney Jamie Mosser told the Daily Herald Conforti quit her job on Aug. 26 after working for the state's attorney's office for 24 years.
