Foster Homes Needed to Save These Lives!
Safe Haven Dog Rescue Needs Foster Homes to Save At Risk Dogs!
Safe Haven Dog Rescue has the opportunity to transport these deserving dogs from ahigh kill shelter in Alabama the 2nd week in January. These sweet pups did not make it out of the shelter for Christmas but we can still save their lives by committing to rescue them in 3 weeks!
Once a rescue commits to rescue and transport them, they are “safe” and will not be euthanized. They are not safe until we can commit, and we cannot commit to these pups unless we have dedicated foster homes in Illinois. If we can find foster homes, we will be able to add them to the January transport.
Little is known about each dog, but what we do know is listed below. The holiday rush will be over by transport time, so it is the perfect chance to foster and save a life.

We pay all expenses from vetting, to food and we provide a crate, leash, collar and toys. Your family provides love (something they desperately need), a place for them to settle down after the shelter shock and basic training...
Some of these dogs have been in the shelter for weeks so their time is limited.

Neava a little Flat Coated Retriever mix. We are not sure of her age but she appears to be a puppy perhaps 5 months? She could be older but small. She is a quiet sweet little girl and would love out of the scary shelter.
Quinn...female Plott Hound mix.....she is about 45 pounds little else is known. She is in a pen with other dogs and is reported to be a sweet girl.
Love a Fox Hound mix with soulful eyes, just waiting for a chance at Love.
Baldwin a tiny lab mix…under 30 pounds looks like a lab. He comes right up to the pen for pets and treats. Very sweet little guy. We do not yet know his age.
Look at that face....Ellen female shep hound mix. She is a GENTLE, CALM, QUIET girl. Shelter says she is so well mannered, good on leash and gentle with everything she does... Those eyes look like she has seen her share of misery.
Lilly - chocolate lab female teenager. Perhaps as young as 6 months.
Brella and Paula look at these two sweet pups about 6 -7 months old now. They have been at the shelter for 2 months so time is limited. Both females.
Winton a medium size beagle mix. The shelter says he is so sweet, crawl in your lap and never want to leave sweet. What a sad face....let’s get him out of the shelter and find him a home!
If you cannot foster, PLEASE SHARE far and wide! Sharing is how we increase the chance of saving these lives!
