Fox River Arts Ramble is Planned For April
The two-day self-guided arts tour features numerous arts-related locations from Aurora to Elgin.

ST CHARLES, IL -From Fox River Arts: Fox River Arts, a collaborative group seeking to promote arts and culture in the Fox River Valley, is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Fox River Arts Ramble, a two-day self-guided arts tour featuring numerous arts-related locations from Aurora to Elgin. The Ramble (a collaborative effort of the Fine Line Creative Arts Center, the St Charles Arts Council, and Water Street Studios) is coming to the Fox Valley on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with some musical performances and receptions in the evening.
The Ramble features multiple artistic disciplines at sites across Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles, and Elgin, including open studios, galleries, art schools, museums, public art venues/tours, and creative spaces. A one-day event in its first year, this year’s event has been expanded to two days to give participants more time to tour nearly 50 participants at approximately 40 locations. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet a diverse group of artists, see their work, and tour public and private spaces that breed creativity.
For the SCAC, we're happy to host our 7th Annual Student Gallery as part of the Ramble again this year. The show will be held at The Keep Creative, a creative co-working and event space located in downtown St. Charles. Students in grades kindergarten through college are busy submitting their work right now (if you know anyone who'd be interested in participating, share the Call details below!), and last year, the show boasted work in a variety of media, including video, by over 50 students of all ages. It's a great chance for students to get their work in front of an audience in a professional gallery setting.

"Ramblers" can also explore SCAC's Art in Public Places project, which includes a web site and an art tour app that will allow cultural tourists to see and learn about over 170 pieces of art in public places in St. Charles.
A Ramble brochure and map will be available and widely distributed prior to the event, enabling visitors to select the locations that are of greatest interest and plan their route for the weekend ahead of time. More detailed information on each Ramble participant can be found by visiting foxriverarts.com.
