Fox Valley Rep patrons get engaged during "Maybe Baby, It's You" performance

When Fox Valley Rep Patron Mark Mora asked the Box Office if there were any options for proposing to his girlfriend of 13 years during the romantic comedy “Maybe Baby, It’s You,” the staff and cast jumped at the chance of pulling off the surprise.

On September 12, Mora nervously watched the critic-acclaimed comedy alongside Girlfriend Christina Sinnott while waiting for the right moment. And at the end of the performance, actors Joseph Galizia and Marika Mashburn pulled the couple up on stage, where Mora proposed to Sinnott. She accepted!

“Everyone involved made this moment truly magical for us on her birthday, and we will always cherish it,” says Mora of Berwyn.

“Maybe Baby, It’s You,” now playing at Pheasant Run Resort, is a wild ride through the search for that most elusive relationship- the soul mate. What starts as a laundry list of must-have soul mate qualities swiftly dwindles down to a desperate plea of finding someone who is simply “warm and breathing” in this comical quest for compatibility. From “Mr. Right” who hilariously becomes “Mr. Wrong” the minute he steps onto the dance floor, to an elderly couple who considers remarriage at their grandson’s soccer game, this series of eleven vignettes is sure to warm the hearts of lovers everywhere!

It is now playing through Sunday, October 25, 2015. Show times are: Fridays & Saturdays @ 8pm, and Sundays @ 2pm. Special Thursday performances are September 24 and October 15 @ 2pm. Tickets are priced at $32 on Fridays (and limited Thursday performances), and at $42 on Saturdays and Sundays. Dinner packages, group discounts and overnight rates are also available.
