Fox Valley Repertory in St. Charles Closes
The theater, which is located at Pheasant Run Resort, closed on Oct. 1. All shows for the remaining 2015-16 season have been cancelled.
After 11 years in St. Charles, the Fox Valley Repertory has closed its doors due to “unexpected circumstances.”
Money issues and problems with the theater’s emergency lighting system lead to the closing earlier this month, Patrick Stinson, who took over as managing director in July, told the Daily Herald. Stinson, who resigned weeks before the theater closed, said major issues included unpaid royalties from 2013 productions and late payments to designers, according to the article.
“I knew there were issues. The issues turned out to be more than we could handle,” Stinson told the newspaper.

The theater, which is located at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, closed on Oct. 1. The theater also ran the FVR Performing Arts Academy, which, according to the theater website, “had the most extensive arts education offering in the Fox Valley area for youth theater educational programming...”
Ticket sales have been discontinued and the theater will not be holding performances through the rest of the 2015-16 season, according to information posted on the theater’s website.

Patrons who purchased tickets to A Christmas Survival Guide, ABBA Salute, The Legacy Girls and A Carpenters’ Christmas are able to redeem a $20 credit from the Paramount Theatre in Aurora for upcoming productions. The $20 credit is good toward a single ticket to A Christmas Story or toward a 3-show Broadway subscription. Those interested in redeeming can call Paramount Theatre at 630-896-6666.
Fox Valley Rep patrons who purchased dinner tickets along with performance tickets can call Pheasant Run at 630-584-6300.
