Fracking threatens our water supply.

The issue of Fracking should concern everyone.

Two friends sent me the note below. I posted it with their permission.  Please get active on this issue for the sake of your children and grandchildren.

"It's all over the country, anyone traveling by car out west or anywhere over the years [instead of flying] can to this day see for themselves the devastation by Big Ag, the animal raising corporations, Big mineral companies tearing up the mts, land, prairies with poisons, leaving tree less ugly bald areas everywhere creating floods, fires....even when thought later "let's replant the trees".   As boaters on the Illinois River at Starved Rock Marina during the 70s & early 80s, we drove past all the silica and material scraping earth companies, who left pools of turquoise-colored poisons in many many places where no living thing can exist, devastating the area along the river. As boaters via U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and also as members of that local saving-our-land groups in that area, we were personally acquainted with this devastation and the city councils & companies who did/do this.  Rivers and lakes have been decimated by oil spills, garbage, gasoline, etc. and was our job as auxiliary members to report who did what in the waterways as well as along or near these water ways.......always material companies which angered so many of us.....no one paid attention....NOW it is more serious, after so much damage was done, because now called "fracking", "polluting", "sink holes", etc. Glad people waking up....finally. They have no right to take our planet materials, ruin the earth and make profit on it, then costs of clean-up, let alone harming our health. They have no right to take our public lands/parks for their profit. We also boated on Lake Michigan out of Saugatuck/Holland/St.Joseph/Ludington in Michigan and from Burnam Harbor, Waukegan/Racine harbours....with the same concern as nature-lovers and auxiliary members..... about the poisoning of that lake....especially the dry radiation nuclear rod casks that sit 400 yds off the shore of that lake.......should it slip into the Lake.......all IL waterways will be radiated and poisoned. As Florida residents in Naples, where we boated every weekend for 20 yrs, when Bush allowed companies in the north of the state to put mercury in the Gulf, our fishing was over! Bingo. No rocket science reports were needed, we knew what happened. The big BP oil spill got a few people's attention but our waters are making us sick {flouride is a poison too...good Portland says "no more of that"].  It never ends with corporations taking our precious resources and poisoning everything for their profit, tellling lies about it "creates jobs", moving on to let the people clean up "creates jobs", then have everyone be poisoned and "lost jobs:..
