Free Screening This Weekend For Indie Film Shot In St. Charles

ST. CHARLES, IL — A special screening of an Indie film shot mainly in St. Charles will take pace this Sunday at Classic Cinemas Charlestowne in St. Charles.

The screening of the film, Visiting Friends, will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday at the local theater, 3740 East Main Street St. in St. Charles. Admission is free but a $5 donation is suggested.

Visiting Friends is based on a true story and features Zach, a rideshare driver and family man, who picks up a woman named Angelina, who says she’s only visiting a friend, according to the film's website. When Zach discovers that Angelina and her daughter are trapped in a terrible situation, he feels compelled to help.

The movie was selected as an award winner for the 2022 Chicago International Indie Film Festival.
