Free Shredding Event Held This Week in St. Charles

The shredding event will be held on Saturday.

The St. Charles Police Department and KCT Credit Union are hosting a free shredding event to help citizens keep important information out of the hands of identity thieves on Saturday, May 21.

The city’s shredding contractor, ProShred, will be in the St. Charles Police Department parking lot, 211 N. Riverside Avenue, from 10 a.m. to noon on May 21. There is no limit to what can be shredded. Securely dispose of confidential paperwork, such as:

  • Credit card statements/applications
  • Social security information
  • Medicare/Medicaid information
