Haz Mat Team Called To Home With Dozens Of Cats, Dogs Inside

Authorities have deemed the home in Campton Hills as uninhabitable.

CAMPTON HILLS, IL — A hazardous materials responded to a Campton Hills home last week to assist with the removal of several dogs and cats from a home and found a large amount of garbage and dog and cat feces inside, Fox 32 Chicago is reporting.

Authorities found 30 dogs and between 15 to 20 cats inside the residence and deemed the home along Town Hall Road uninhabitable, according to the news report. Occupants of the home, an elderly couple and their three children, were taken to area hospitals for evaluations.

"Hopefully they’re ok and their health is good. I do feel bad. It’s a sad and unfortunate situation," a neighbor told Fox 32 Chicago.
