Healthy Brain, Healthy Memory

Health seminar at Windsor Park to highlight tips for better brain health and memory

Windsor Park, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities, will host educational psychologist Dr. Linda Sasser as she presents, “Healthy Brain, Healthy Memory,” on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015 at 10 a.m.

As we age, keeping the brain sharp is vital to enjoying a full and rewarding lifestyle. Dr. Sasser will explain how memory works and typical age-related memory changes. She will also describe activities attendees can use to maintain and even improve brain function. Using her distinctive method of optimizing the brain functions of attention, working memory and long-term memory, attendees will learn how to better remember names, information and tasks.

Sasser has an M.A. and Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She served as adjust professor of psychology at Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill., and as a full-time professor of education at Judson University, Elgin, Ill.
