Homeowner Injured In Daytime Burglary: Police

Resident a reminder to lock their doors following the burglary Thursday in St. Charles.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Authorities in St. Charles are searching for two men following a daytime burglary Thursday. A homeowner returned to his home on South 13th Street to find what appeared to be a burglary in progress. A struggle followed between the two burglars and the homeowner before the burglars fled on foot, according to a new release.

The homeowner was transported to Delnor Hospital with minor injuries.

The burglars wore grey sweatshirts and ski masks at the time of the burglary, police said.

Several officers checked the area and two Police K-9 units from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office responded and attempted to track the offenders as well but they were not located.

Residents are also reminded to lock doors and windows when you are not from your home, police said.
