A two-part finale will get underway at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday on NBC as Austin, whose real last name is McClelland, performs for his largest TV audience to date and competes against three other finalists, according to Suburban Life Publications. The winner of the popular reality TV show will be announced Tuesday night and will receive a recording contract.
The winner is determined by viewer’s votes. Here is how you can vote for Austin:
- You can vote ten times per artist per e-mail address or ten times per artist per valid Facebook account at NBC.com and on the Voice Facebook page.
- You can vote via The Voice Official app that is available for download via Google Play or in the Apple App Store. You can vote up to 10 times per artist per e-mail address or ten times per artist per valid Facebook account.
- You can also vote for Austin by purchasing the song he sings Monday on iTunes. Only one download per eligible song will be counted as a vote.
The St. Charles community has been showing its support for Austin, a graduate of Haines Middle School and St. Charles North High School, throughout the show. St. Charles students rallied using the #VoiceSaveJeffery hashtag Tuesday, according to Suburban Life Publications. Austin was close to being eliminated but received enough votes to be declared a finalist in the final seconds of the show last week.
Meanwhile, the Blue Goose Market has put a photo of Austin on some bakery cakes and is rooting for him on Facebook.
Austin was selected to perform on the reality TV show by celebrity judge Gwen Stefani. He is now the only Team Gwen singer to make it to the finals. He talks about his experience on The Voice in the following video.
Austin has also been sharing updates via Twitter as he preps for this week’s finals. His sense of humor shines through in many of his updates, including this tweet from the weekend that includes a “selfie” with fellow finalist Jordan Smith:
