Israel Idonije to Sign Copies of New Comic Book Saturday in Geneva

The longtime Chicago Bears defensive end will make an appearance Saturday at the Geneva Commons.

Longtime Chicago Bears defensive end Israel Idonije will be at the Geneva Commons this Saturday signing copies of his recently-released comic book.

Idonije will be at the Barnes and Noble store, 102 Commons Drive in Geneva, from 2 to 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 2. He will also sign one other non-book item and will be available for pictures.

His comic book, The Protectors, follows pro football superstar Isaac Chike whose life is “turned upside down when he discovers his true purpose in life.” He learns he is destined to become one of The Protectors, a small group of gifted heroes blessed with miraculous powers.

Idonije is a long-time comic book fan and brought on a write, Ron Marz, and artist, Bart Sears, to help make his vision of “The Protectors” comic series a reality.
