Jennie McCarthy, Donnie Wahlberg Share Updates on Move to Suburbs Over Social Media

Jenny McCarthy and husband, Donnie Wahlberg, have been settling into their St. Charles home in recent months and have been highlighting their move, as well as their excursions throughout the Chicago area, on their reality TV show and over social media.

Some of this has played off as a sweet, comedic battle between the couple and their family members in episodes of Donnie Loves Jenny — an A&E reality TV show featuring the famous couple. In a recent episode that aired in August, Donnie, who refers to himself as a “control freak,” puts McCarthy in charge of decorating their home.

“The fact that he has entrusted me with decorating our house freaks me out,” McCarthy says on the TV show. “But, thankfully, my sister is an interior designer so I can put all the pressure on her.” This leads to some repressed, but funny, sibling rivalry surfacing and McCarthy not being able to decide on any furniture.

“I’m shopping like crazy, our credit card is toast,” Jenny McCarthy joked, lying during a phone call with Donnie.

Besides mentions on Donnie Loves Jenny, Jenny has been sharing updates over social media regarding some of her excursions while in the suburbs. In October, Jenny shared a picture on her Facebook page of her “breaking into” her childhood home. McCarthy grew up on Chicago’s South Side.

A couple days before that Facebook post, Jenny shared a photo of her and Donnie broadcasting live from Wrigley Field.

In August, Jenny organized ”A Night of Hope” fund-raising event to raise money for families affected by autism, which was hosted by Donnie. Tickets to the event, which was at the Oscar Swan Country Inn in Geneva, were $850 per person. Donnie congratulated his wife over his Facebook page for raising “a quarter of a million dollars for families in desperate need of help.”

Also in August, Donnie shared a photo of himself “taking a very rare day off” and golfing at the Royal Fox Country Club in St. Charles.

Donnie and Jenny were married at the Hotel Baker in St. Charles last year. Earlier this year, news surfaced that the couple would be moving to a new home in St. Charles. Jenny had lived for several years in Geneva.
