Kane Co. Forest Preserve Offers Program On Animal Tracks
The event will be held on Jan. 22 at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve in St. Charles.
ST. CHARLES, IL — Local residents can learn how they can identify animal tracks during a Kane County Forest Preserve District event later this month.
Tracking Along the Winter Trail will run from 10 to 11 a.m. on Jan. 22 at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles, according to a news release from the forest preserve district.
During the event, attendees can learn about the various types of animal signs you can discover while exploring trails and natural areas in Kane County. While you might not encounter wildlife during your winter walks, the program will teach you how to ID animal tracks and hone your observational skills in order to recognize the subtle clues that animals leave behind.
