Kane Co. Forest Preserve Offers Summer Nature Camps

District naturalists will lead activities based on a different nature theme each day during "Week in the Woods" Summer Camp.

From Forest Preserve District of Kane County: There’s much to explore during the Forest Preserve District of Kane County’s five-day nature camps, for kids entering first through sixth grades.

District naturalists will lead activities based on a different nature theme each day during “Week in the Woods” Summer Camp. Your child will learn about native animals and plants in their habitats, the web of life and lots more! Fresh air and fun times will be the main agenda for this week-long adventure in the woods and prairies of LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve.

Camp is offered on two weeks: Monday, June 11 - Friday, June 15, as well as Monday, July 9 - Friday, July 13. You may register your child for one or both weeks of camp. Nature camps are from 9 a.m. to noon. The fee is $150 per child, per week.
