Kane Co. Sheriff's Office To Award Scholarship To Student
The deadline is approaching for a $500 scholarship that will be awarded to one deserving student.
KANE COUNTY, IL — The Kane County Sheriff's Office will be handing out one $500 will be handing out a scholarship to a deserving student. The scholarship is one of $58,000 worth of scholarships being offered by the Illinois Sheriffs’ Association for students wishing to pursue higher education during the 2020-2021 academic year, according to a news release.
The scholarships are to be applied to tuition, books and fees only, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office. The student must be enrolled full-time at a certified institution of higher learning within the State of Illinois.
For those interested in the Kane County Sheriff's Office scholarship, you must be a permanent Illinois resident, the scholarship must be used at a college in Illinois and students must be enrolled as a full-time student for the 2020-21 school year.

Applications are now available at www.KaneSheriff.com or on the ISA website www.ilsheriff.org. Students must complete the application; answer the essay question and return all documentation to the Sheriff’s office in their permanent county of residence by March 15, 2020, according to the news release.
