Kane County Early Voting Starts Sept. 24: Locations, Hours

KANE COUNTY, IL — Kane County voters can begin casting ballots early Sept. 24 ahead of the Nov. 3, 2026, general election.

Early voting initially will be available at the Kane County Clerk’s Office, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Building B, in Geneva, and the clerk’s Aurora Satellite Office, 5 E. Downer Place, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

Beginning Oct. 19, additional permanent early-voting locations will open, including the Kane County Branch Court at 530 S. Randall Road in St. Charles, Carpentersville Fire Station No. 93, Elgin Township, Gail Borden Library and the Vaughan Athletic Center in Aurora.

Those locations will have expanded hours as Election Day approaches, including evening hours from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays from Oct. 26 through Oct. 30, depending on the location. Weekend early voting also will be available, with the permanent locations scheduled to be open Oct. 24, Oct. 25, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

Kane County also will offer early voting at alternative locations beginning Oct. 19, including the Campton Community Center, Hampshire Township, the city of Batavia, Sugar Grove Library, the city of Elgin, Del Webb Sun City and the village of West Dundee. The county's Vote Mobile also will make stops at several locations, including Elgin Community College, Jewel-Osco stores in Batavia, Elburn, West Dundee, Elgin, St. Charles and Aurora, and the North Aurora Police Department. The Vote Mobile locations will generally be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the specific dates varying by location between Oct. 19 and Oct. 28.More information can be found here.

Voters who are not registered by Oct. 6 can use grace-period voter registration beginning Oct. 7 at the Kane County Clerk’s Office in Geneva and the Aurora Satellite Office. Anyone who registers during the grace period and wants to vote in the November election must cast their ballot at the time they register.
