Kane County Forest Preserve Plans Preschool Programs
Find out what the local forest preserve district has planned for outdoor programs this spring.

ST. CHARLES, IL - From Kane County Forest Preserve: Nature’s sweet treats, frogs and butterflies, will be the themes for spring’s preschooler nature programs by the Forest Preserve District of Kane County.
In “Nature Tykes,” 3-year olds explore the natural world through a variety of activities with their parent or caregiver. Sessions include a combination of stories, nature hikes, songs, games and crafts. OnThursday, March 22, “Nature’s Sweet Treats,” will be our theme. On Thursday, April 26, “Frog Pond,” will be our theme, and on Thursday, May 24, “So Many Butterflies,” will be our theme. “Nature Tykes” programs run from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Creek Bend Nature Center. Registration is $5 per child, per session.
“Little Naturalists” is the Forest Preserve District’s hour-long program for 4-year olds. Children will discover the wonders of nature through a variety of activities including songs, hikes, stories, games and crafts. This program is for the young participants. Parents, caregivers and siblings may enjoy the trails of LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, or wait inside the nature center, during the program. On Thursday, March 22, the program topic will be “Nature’s Sweet Treats.” On Thursday, April 26, our theme will be, “Frog Pond,” and on Thursday, May 24, “So Many Butterflies,” will be our theme. “Little Naturalists” programs run from 1-2 p.m. at Creek Bend Nature Center. Registration is $5 per child, per session.
