Lauzen Withdraws From Kane Co. Board Chair Race

KANE COUNTY, IL — Incumbent Chris Lauzen has withdrawn his candidacy from the Kane County Board chairman race. Lauzen was slated to run against longtime county treasurer David Rickert in the Republican primary in March before pulling out of the race on Wednesday, the Daily Herald reports.

Lauzen has served as two terms as the Kane County Board chairman. Two democrats, Greg Elsbree and Corinne Pierog, are vying for the seat as well and will square off in the March primary.
