Local Soroptimist Grant Recipient Advances to Regional Competition

Ashley Plurkowski of St. Charles was selected as the recipient of the 2016 Virginia Wagner Educational Grant from Soroptimist International of Suburban Chicago and the recipient of the District 1 award (Soroptimist clubs in IL and WI). She now advances for Regional consideration which includes selected winners from the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.

The St. Charles East High School graduate is currently pursuing her degree in nursing at Aurora University, Aurora, Il. She hopes to obtain her degree in 2017 and ultimately pursue a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
