Local St. Francis Students Named AP Scholars
In total, 41 students from St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Bartlett and other area towns fared well on AP exams this past spring.
WHEATON, IL — Several St. Francis High School students have been named AP scholars, school officials said. In total, 41 students from the classes of 2019, 2020 and 2021 have been recognized for their excellent performance on the Advanced Placement exams in the spring of 2019.
“We are proud of these students for their hard work, dedication and accomplishments,” said Principal, Raeann Huhn. “St. Francis High School is an excellent college preparatory school where all students have the opportunity to succeed.”
St. Francis High School student Ryan Martin of Bartlett earned an average grade of 4 on all AP exams taken and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more exams, according to the news release. Because of this, he was named a National AP Scholar.

Nine St. Francis students were named AP Scholar with Distinction for receiving an average grade of 3.5 on all AP exams and grades of 3 or higher on five or more exams, according to the news release. The following students received that honor:
- 2019 graduates: Timothy McGowa of Aurora, Ryan Martin of Bartlett, Natalie Kuchler of Carol Stream, Nicholas Buranicz of Roselle, Adam Cook of Warrenville, Nicholas Gulli of Warrenville
- Current Seniors/Class of 2020: Li Weiyue of China
In addition, 12 St. Francis students received an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and a grade of 3 or higher on four more exams and were named AP Scholar with Honor. Those receiving this recognition include:

- 2019 Graduates: Michael Andrzejewski of Campton Hills, Elizabeth Prosch of Carol Stream, Emily Jania of Geneva, Suman Manek of Naperville, Eric Sauser of Naperville, and Madeline Zediker of Naperville, Caitlyn White of Plainfield, Elise Ricamato of West Chicago and Sean Conley of Winfield.
- Current Senior/Class of 2020: Ava Carlson of Batavia
- Current Junior/Class of 2021: Henry Davis of Naperville, Zachary Mulhearn of Wheaton
The following 20 students were named AP Scholars, earning a grade of at least 3 or better on three or more AP exams:
