Man Smashed Bar Glass Into Bar Patron's Head: Police
The fight allegedly broke out at The Filling Station in St. Charles last month following an argument between two groups at the bar.

KANE COUNTY, IL — A 33-year-old Montgomery man faces felony charges after he smashed a bar glass into a patron's head during a fight at The Filling Station Pub & Grill in St. Charles last month, prosecutors said. Brett R. Willing, of the 3100 block of Fairfield Way in Montgomery, is charged with four counts of aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony, in connection with the incident, which occurred after an argument started between two groups at the bar during the early morning hours of Jan. 19.
Willing is accused of punching three people in the head, including one person while he held the bar glass in his hand, according to a news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office. The glass shattered on the man's head, causing great bodily harm, and requiring the man to be taken to the hospital. There a doctor removed the glass shards and closed the cuts with stitches, prosecutors said.
Willing is not currently in custody and is next expected in court on March 10. As a condition of his bond, he has been ordered to have no contact with the victims and not to enter The Filling Station.
