Masked, Armed Robber Holds Up St. Charles Liquor Store

ST. CHARLES, IL – A masked robber armed with a handgun held up a liquor store in St. Charles Monday night, police said. The robber entered One Stop Liquors, 1401 Prairie Street in St. Charles, at 10:02 p.m. on Monday, displayed a gun and demanded cash. He then fled westbound into a parking lot with an "undetermined amount of cash," according to a news release from the St. Charles Police Department.

He got into a car that was waiting for him, police said, and the vehicle was last spotted turning left onto Prairie Street. Officers checked the area but were unable to find the robber or the vehicle.

The offender is described as a male who is 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark jacket, black mask and gray pants, according to police. The getaway vehicle is described as a dark-colored four-door passenger car.
