Mayor-Elect Vitek To Recommend The Appointment Of Interim City Administrator
Director of Finance Christopher Minick's appointment comes as current City Administrator Mark Koenen is retiring May 15.
Mayor-Elect Lora Vitek has announced she will recommend the appointment of Director of Finance Christopher Minick as Interim City Administrator for the City of St. Charles. The recommendation will be considered by the City Council at the May 3, 2021 City Council Meeting.
Minick’s appointment comes as current City Administrator Mark Koenen is retiring May 15, 2021.

Minick joined the City of St. Charles in 2008 from the Village of Plainfield, where he served as Village Administrator. Prior to that, he held the positions of Finance Director and Director of Management Services at the Village of Plainfield.
Minick holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance. He serves on the Illinois Metropolitan Investment Fund Board, the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association (IGFOA) Legislative Committee, is a Past President of IGFOA (2017), and currently represents IGFOA on the Illinois Municipal League Resolutions Committee.
