Minn. Man Charged With Raping Coworker At St. Charles Hotel
Patrick W. Beech faces several sex assault charges in connection with the alleged rape that occurred last summer.

ST. CHARLES, IL – A Kane County judge increased the bail for a 20-year-old Minnesota man accused of raping a co-worker while on a business trip in St. Charles last summer, authorities said. Patrick W. Beech, of Red Wing, Minn., was attending a conference and staying at a hotel in town at the time of the sexual assault, which happened on July 27 and 28, St. Charles Deputy Chief Erik Mahan told the Daily Herald. On Wednesday, Judge George Bakalis ordered Beech's bail be increased from $10,000 to $50,000.
Beech is charged with aggravated criminal abuse, criminal sexual abuse using force, criminal sexual assault using force, attempted criminal sexual assault using force, attempted aggravated criminal sexual assault causing bodily harm and aggravated criminal sex abuse causing bodily harm.
