New Rates for Refuse Stickers, Bags Start on July 1 in St. Charles

Beginning on July 1, new residential refuse collection fees from Advanced Disposal will take effect. Here is a look at the new rate for refuse stickers, "toters" and bags:

• Refuse Sticker: $3.25 each
• Yard Waste Sticker: $3.25 each
• Refuse Bag: No longer available
• Half-size Refuse Bag: $2.11 each
• 65-Gallon Yard Waste Toter: $28.53 per month
• 35-Gallon Refuse Toter: $21.68 per month
• 65-Gallon Refuse Toter: $22.82 per month
• 95-Gallon Refuse Toter: $23.96 per

Refuse containers that are not from Advanced Disposal can be no larger than 32 gallons and weigh no more than 50 pounds.

Refuse and recycling containers should be at the curb by 6 a.m.

Refuse collection the week of July 4 will be pushed back one day due to the Independence Day holiday.
