No One Injured In Townhome Blaze In St. Charles

The cause of the fire, which broke out Wednesday night at a townhome in the 500 block of Pheasant Trail, is under investigation.

ST. CHARLES, IL — No one was injured in a fire at a townhome in St. Charles Wednesday night.

The blaze was reported at about 10:20 p.m. in the 500 block of Pheasant Trail. Firefighters first at the scene found the fire on a second-floor deck. The blaze spread up the vinyl siding on the rear of the building, according to a news release from the St. Charles Fire Department.

All occupants from the townhome and an adjoining residence were able to safely get out, and fire officials found no residents inside when they searched the building, according to the news release.

The blaze caused an estimated $30,000 in damages to the property and contents of the building, and no one was injured in the fire.

St. Charles Police Department and fire departments from Geneva, Batavia, Elburn, West Chicago and North Aurora assisted the St. Charles Fire Department at the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
