Norris Center Hosts University of Wisconsin Varsity Band, Feb. 28

'Best Band in the Land' visits St. Charles to perform at the Norris Cultural Arts Center, Friday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m.

St. Charles, February 12 - Fresh off an appearance at the recent Rose Bowl football game, the University of Wisconsin Varsity Band visits St. Charles for a performance at the Norris Cultural Arts Center, Friday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m. Advance purchase tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. They are available by visiting or calling The Norris box office at 630-584-7200, and online through a link at www.NorrisCulturalArts.com. Tickets purchased on the day of the concert are priced at $15 for adults and $10 for students.

University of Wisconsin bands maintain a high profile among musicians and Badger enthusiasts throughout the region, on the field during football season, and in concert venues throughout the winter and spring. The band dates back to 1885, when it was organized to support the university military battalion. Today, it has grown to about 300 members and performs at all home Badger football games. Approximately 100 band members will participate in the Norris performance.

The Wisconsin Varsity Band is presented through the cooperation of the West Suburban Chicago Chapter of the Wisconsin Alumni Association.

The Norris Cultural Arts Center is located on the Norris Campus which includes St. Charles East High School at 1040 Dunham Rd.
